What a pass is

Included with your pass: no ads, no popups, no sponsored tabs, and every recorded show with no daily limit.

• 2 weeks: $4.99
• 2 months: $9.99 (most chosen)
• 4 months: $19.99
• 1 year: $29.99
• Patron, 1 year: you choose, from $35 to $1,000

A Patron pass is a pass for 1 year at the price you choose. It gives exactly what any other pass gives, with our thanks. Money never decides what is recorded, the rankings or any vote.

A pass starts as soon as the payment is confirmed and ends after the time you chose; a second pass does not add on. It is on your account: sign in on any device and the ads stay away. Its code, emailed to you when you pay, also works on a browser where you are not signed in. If a browser forgets your pass, sign in and it comes back.

You pay in crypto through Trybit, on Trybit's own page. Afrilov never sees your wallet or any payment details: it keeps the order's amount, its status and Trybit's invoice number.

The weekly goal is this week's share of what Afrilov costs to run: the servers and the storage for every recorded show. It starts again every Monday at 00:00 UTC; once it is reached, the popup stops for everyone until the next week.

The players that host the recorded shows may show their own adverts after you press Play. Those are theirs, and a pass cannot remove them. Everyone gets 3 free recorded shows a day. A free account on afrilov.cam, or any pass, unlocks every show with no daily limit, and a pass still takes Afrilov's own ads away.

Pass terms

A supporter pass is a contribution towards Afrilov's running costs. In return, the ads, the goal popups and the sponsored tabs stay away on every device where you are signed in to your account, and on any browser where its code is entered, for the time you chose. A new pass starts when it is paid and does not add to one you already have. A pass also unlocks every recorded show, with no daily limit. Nothing else on Afrilov is sold: every page is free for everyone, and so are 3 recorded shows a day; a free account on afrilov.cam unlocks every show too.

Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. You pay in crypto through Trybit, which fixes the rate for one hour; a payment that arrives short or in another currency does not open a pass until the rest arrives.

For a Patron pass you choose the price yourself, within the range shown before you pay; it lasts the time shown there and gives exactly what any other pass gives. No pass, a Patron pass included, has any say in what is recorded, in the rankings or in any vote.

A pass cannot be refunded once the payment is confirmed, because the crypto payment itself cannot be reversed. If a pass does not work as described, write to the address above and it will be put right or extended.

Your code is yours, and you may give it to one person as a gift. A code can be on at most three accounts. A code passed round widely may be ended: the console counts how often each code is entered and on how many accounts.

What a pass stores

Four cookies on this browser: a signed pass cookie that names the pass and its end; a hint beside it that tells the page to hide the ads before it paints; a claim cookie, a random token that lets this browser, and no other, be shown its own codes again; and the time the goal popup was last seen. The first three are set for 90 days at most; the pass cookie is signed again every week while you visit. When you start a payment, this browser's own storage also keeps the order's number and the time, so the page waits for that payment for two hours and no longer. Signing out removes the pass cookies from that browser when the pass is on your account; the claim cookie stays so a payment still being confirmed can finish.

The daily free shows are counted in this browser's own storage only: today's date and the shows opened today, and, after “Keep watching free”, the time it was pressed, so the page can check by itself for the next 20 minutes (then it is removed); nothing else, and nothing of it is sent to Afrilov. “Keep watching free” also sets a cookie for 7 days that names that link (the last three, if it is pressed again), so Afrilov can tell when the free account it led to is made; once it is, that cookie goes and two others say for a year that the shows are open on this browser. None of them holds your email, your account on afrilov.cam or your IP address.

You buy a pass signed in to your Afrilov account. Your email stays in Afrilov's own account system, as it does for sign-in, and the receipt with your code is sent to it from code@afrilov.com. Afrilov's pass service, which runs apart from the site, keeps your orders and passes under a one-way keyed code made from your account's id: never your email, your IP address or your crypto details. They stay with that keyed code for as long as your account exists and are separated from it when you delete your account. For about 8 days after you pay, Afrilov also keeps a note of which account to email the receipt to. Each order keeps its amount, its status and Trybit's invoice number, and a copy of your code is kept locked with a key only Afrilov's own server holds, so you can see it again when signed in. A checkout or a code entry counts in one of 65,536 anonymous buckets, so that no one can try thousands of codes; the bucket cannot be turned back into an address.

Everything else the site keeps, in the browser and on its servers, is on the privacy page.
